Katy Perry 'to be sued as stagehand has toe AMPUTATED following bloody backstage disaster... leading to emotional distress when appendage turned gangrenous'

Katy Perry is allegedly being sued by a stagehand from her 2014 Prismatic World Tour, after the yoga-fanatic aide had a toe amputated amid a backstage disaster.

TMZ report the incident happened on the evening of the 32-year-old Roar hitmaker's Raleigh, North Carolina date at the city's PNC arena on June 22, where Christina Fish claimed a wall rolled across her foot and injured her toe.

The backstage worker claims her shoe filled with blood yet nobody offered to call an ambulance - merely placing ice on the injury which later became gangrenous and was amputated leading to 'great emotional distress'.

In images obtained by the site, a toe is seen to be blacked and infected in what was the 'dead' appendage - which was instructed to be kept on as long as possible by orthopedic doctors.

It has been reported that Christina's love of yoga has how been ruined as she will not be able to use her foot for months.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Katy and Live Nation for comment. There is nothing to suggest Katy was directly involved in the incident.

Katy closed her epic 151-show 'Prismatic World Tour' in Costa Rica in October 2015, during which she performed hits from her fourth studio album 'Prism'.

During the run of gigs she visited parts of Europe, Asia, Australia, and North and South America.

Shortly before the final show, she wrote: "ONE. LAST. TIME. #ThePrismaticWorldTour #151. 151 shows later it is only By The Grace Of God that I made each & every one of them. Thank you, time to grow now... (sic)"

The timing of the alleged incident is unfortunate for the star as it came alongside another legal battle when Christian rapper Flame sued Katy for ripping off his 2008 track Joyful Noise for 2013's Dark Horse in Missouri District Court.

The artist - who studied in a seminary - claimed that his secular song's high-pitched techno melody and beat were slowed down for Katy's ode to 1996 film The Craft.

According to the lawsuit obtained by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Joyful Noise has been 'irreparably tarnished by its association with the witchcraft, paganism, black magic, and Illuminati imagery evoked by the same music in Dark Horse.'

The song by Flame - born Marcus T. Gray - scored a Gospel Music Association Dove Award nod and its album Our World: Redeemed earned a Grammy nomination.

At the time of the suit, Dark Horse - written from the perspective of a witch - sold 6 million copies and the Egyptian-themed music video amassed 439 million views.

Aside from her troubles, Katy's hosting performance at Sunday night's VMAs came under fire  - when despite several outfit changes and a barrel of gags, her hosting fell flat with viewers who expressed their feelings in Twitter.
