Mr Kobrowisky, who organises tours with Sea Candy Media, captured the beast swimming past his boat by holding the device on the end of a stick.

The footage shows the shark duck its nose into the sea and open its powerful jaws, showing off its terrifying teeth.

'Gansbaii is the great white shark capital of the world but I have only been this close to tiger sharks or blacktips before,' Mr Kobrowisky said.

'I was so excited to get this close shot. Our aim isn't to instil fear or cause sharks to appear in a negative aspect but rather educate on their dwindling numbers.'
