He enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Palm Beach last week.

And Sir Rod Stewart, 72, continued to take time away from his busy schedule as he enjoyed a family coffee date with his children Kimberly, 38, and Sean, 37, at Starbucks in Beverly Hills on Friday.

The Maggie May hitmaker looked in great spirits as he chatted with his son and daughter, who he shares with ex-wife Alana Stewart.

Dressed in burgundy chinos, a cream knitted jumper and blacked-out shades, the singer arrived in style in a plush Ferrari.

Sir Rod parked the enviable car before heading to Starbucks with Sean.

However, the musical icon looked unimpressed with his daughter Kimberly, as she chatted away on her phone during the catch-up.

Last week the singer was the victim of an awkward prank while he filmed a video for a charity art project.

Clad from head-to-toe in white, Rod appeared oblivious to his looming plight as he talked to the camera, before the person filming shoved him into the pool.

The rocker was seen spluttering and swearing as he rose to the surface, much to the amusement of viewers once the video was uploaded.

Rod previously praised wife of ten years, Penny Lancaster for bringing his eight children from five relationships together.

In an interview with ITV's Lorraine, he said: 'She literally did bring the family together.

'I've got eight children and I think I am appreciating it more now in old age than I ever did before.

'I really cherish those moments.'

At the tender age of 18 Rod fathered his first child Sarah Streeter, now 55, with art student Susannah Boffey, and she was raised by adoptive parents.

He then went on to marry Alana Hamilton, now 71, and the duo became parents to Kimberley and Sean Stewart.

Penny Lancaster showed off her long trim pins on Loose Women recently by donning a short jumper dress paired with calf-length boots.

Penny always looks glamorous and she certainly didn't hold back when appearing on the panel either in her beige ensemble paired with a tasselled necklace.
