She hit the headlines this weekend when she lashed out at a male fan who threw dollar bills at her during a concert, interrupting the show to say she wasn't a 'f****g stripper'.
And Ashanti was bouncing back from the incident with a minibreak to Hawaii, hitting the beach on Tuesday in a bright yellow bikini.
The 37-year-old R&B singer wowed in the skimpy two-piece, which drew attention to her toned physique and flat stomach.

Ashanti's neon bright swimwear made the most of her hourglass curves and was set off with a statement kaftan.
The colourful cover-up featured a bold print and yellow and teal fringed sleeves, with the tassels giving the illusion of feathers.
She accessorised with layered pendant necklaces and a pair of tinted shades, going make-up free on the beach.

On Saturday, the entertainer lashed out at a fan who threw bills on the stage of the Neal S. Blaisdell Center while she performed there.
The singer was in the midst of a routine in which she lap danced on a man seated on the stage, while fans nearby threw money in her direction.
The Grammy winner stopped her song and told the crowd, 'Let me tell you something - stop, stop stop. I need you to stop throwing that money, I am not a f****** stripper, OK?'

According to TMZ, the fan who the Rock Wit U (Awww Baby) artist was yelling at was affiliated with Ballarrinas, a gentleman's club about a mile away from the venue.
The establishment's owner, Dyamin Thomas, posted a clip of Ashanti's outburst on Instagram, pointing out that he felt her racy stage show was consistent with an environment in which people would toss money at the performers; and that the gesture was one of love - not disrespect.
'WAIT Ashanti ain’t that you in your background video throwing money? And aren’t you giving a lap dance?' Thomas wrote, adding that Cardi B is 'the only one winning right now.'

'You broke hearts tonight, girl,' Thomas wrote, adding that those who threw money did so in an effort to 'show love and that’s how it’s done in' Hawaii.
The Rain On Me songstress did receive some love from her Twitter fans for drawing a line in the sand.
One wrote, 'My girl @ashanti is a f****n queen!! Stopped mid song to let a [person] know that she [ain't] a stripper so ... quit throwing money on stage.'
Another said, 'Ashanti just told someone stop throwing dollahs. She [ain't] no stripper!!!! Daaaaat’ righhht girrrrrl!'
