Colin Kaepernick, who isn't currently signed to an NFL team, is reportedly being sought after for a Hollywood role.
A well known casting director, Victoria Thomas, in the industry posted on a message board for managers and agents last week, asking for a representative of the former NFL quarterback, according to TMZ.
Apparently the 30-year-old might make an appearance in a 2018 comedy, starring several other sports legends.

The casting director in question is currently working on the movie Uncle Drew starring comedians Nick Kroll and LilRel Howery.
Thomas is known for her work on Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight and Blood Diamond.
The sports stars already appearing in this movie include ex-basketball pro Shaquille O'Neal, NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie.
The movie follows Howery's character Dax and his longtime rival, played by Kroll as they enter into a streetball tournament.

Uncle Drew will hit theaters next summer on June 29, 2018.
It's a Summit Entertainment release produced by Temple Hill in association with PepsiCo's Creators League Studios.
It is unclear as to what role Kaepernick, who is currently a free agent, would play but given the star-studded sports filled cast, it seems Kaepernick would be a natural.
This would be his first acting gig.
Despite Kaepernick being out of the NFL for nearly a year, the former 49ers player has still been trending in the headlines for quite some time.
In August 2016, Kaepernick sat on the bench while the national anthem played during a preseason game for the San Francisco 49ers.

His reasoning stemmed from the fact that people of color in the United States are continually being mistreated and oppressed by police.
'I'm going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed,' Kaepernick said.
'To me, this is something that has to change. When there's significant change and I feel that flag represents what it's supposed to represent, and this country is representing people the way that it's supposed to, I'll stand.'
His movement started a protest that was followed by several players throughout the NFL, where they would kneel during the national anthem as opposed to stand, much to President Donald Trump's dismay.
