Catherine Zeta-Jones played the part of glamorous host at an awards ceremony last week – but left some of the well-heeled guests far from impressed with some diva-like behaviour.

The actress did not turn up until after dinner had been served at the Walpole British Luxury Awards. And despite being flown in from LA, it seems she hadn’t rehearsed much.

The 48-year-old star struggled with some of the names of the nominees, such as whisky firm Glenmorangie.

‘I don’t do this very much,’ Catherine said to the audience at the Dorchester after one of many trip-ups.

She didn’t stick around for the after-party either, gliding from the room immediately after the final prize was handed out.

One fan who begged for a selfie was told: ‘Sorry, I’m not doing photos. I’ll have to do one for everyone if I do.’

But Catherine later posted some pics having her make-up done by Charlotte Tilbury. Perhaps she would rather miss a meal than not look her best!

Her dad is famous for his nude scenes in everything from Trainspotting to Fargo, and it would seem that Clara McGregor is a chip off the old block.

I expect that Clara thought twice about sharing it with her 23,000 followers – or else she hit the ‘send’ button by accident!
