She plays a self centred American socialite living in Paris in new comedy Madame.

And Toni Collette certainly showcased some of her most controversial work yet as she filmed nude scenes.

The Australian actress, 45, can be seen taking a completely naked swim in a pool in latest released footage.

Muriel's Wedding star Collette will play the character of Anne who lives with her dodgy art dealing husband Bob, played by Harvey Keitel.

Described as a classic Cinderella tale the movie is written and directed by French filmmaker and novelist Amanda Sthers.

It comes after Toni joined the chorus of Hollywood stars to condemn Harvey Weinstein amid allegations he sexually harassed women for decades.

'I made a slew of films with Miramax in the 90's. Harvey was a cowboy with a lot more power who seemed to do whatever he wanted,' she wrote on Instagram in October.

'At the time I was very young and somewhat unaware. Thankfully it never happened to me, however I did hear numerous, very real stories about other actresses being sexually harassed and/or abused by him.'

'I sympathise with and respect those who were abused. You are heroes for coming forward and speaking up. The trauma from any kind of abuse can last a lifetime.'

'No man has the right to touch any woman without her permission. Ever. IT HAS TO STOP. #Karmaisreal,' she added. 

Toni is the latest in a slew of high-profile celebrities who have slammed Weinstein over the claims, with fellow Australian Nicole Kidman also breaking her silence the same week.
