Daisy Ridley is a galaxy far, far away from Star Wars character Rey in edgy leather jacket and shades as she makes a low-key arrival at JFK Airport

She is best known for her leading role as Rey in the Star Wars franchise.

The actress, 25, appeared to be galaxies away from the role that made her famous as she shielded her face with shades and wrapped up in a leather jacket.

Famed for her dusty costumes as desert dwelling Rey in the popular franchise, Daisy looked dramatically different after swamping her petite figure in mustard co-ords.

The Westminster-born beauty pulled her brunette tresses into a top knot that served to showcase her youthful features, tastefully accentuated with make-up selected from a natural colour palette.

Daisy travelled light with one carry-on suitcase and a handbag, no doubt filled with her everyday essentials.

The brunette beauty will reprise her role in The Last Jedi which will hit UK cinemas in December 2017.

Despite finding worldwide fame with the role, the film star admitted that she wasn't impressed with her acting skills in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Recalling the first time she watched it back, she told Elle magazine: 'I didn't think I was good in the first film, and I was struggling with that.

I did the first one because I didn't really know what I was getting myself into and I was having loads of fun, and suddenly I'm realising what this actually is.

'I realised I can't f***ing do this. I'm highly dramatic.'
