But Amir Khan's latest I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! blunder has taken the biscuit after Extra Camp host Joel Dommett revealed that the sports star was unaware he was being filmed in the Bush Telegraph.

According to comic and jungle alum Joel the boxer believed that he was talking to a jungle therapist for his first few days in Snake Rock and not to the viewing public.

Speaking on Tuesday night's ITV2 spin-off, Joel said: 'Someone told me this and I don't know whether I'm allowed to say this - but I'm bloody doing it.

'Someone said to me that when he was first in the Bush Telegraph, for the first couple of days, he didn't know he was being filmed. Isn't that the sweetest thing you've ever heard?

Adding: 'He thought he was just talking to someone and it was just like a weird little, sort of, therapist.'

MailOnline have contacted Amir Khan's rep for comment.

Currently a frontrunner to nab this year's crown, Amir's latest observations come after he sparked outrage by asking if a woman has ever been prime minister -when Theresa May is currently in power.

Amir sent Twitter into uproar after asking the camp: 'Has a woman ever become prime minister?'

As his campmates looked at him in disbelief and erupted with laughter, he hastily backtracked: 'Oh, Margaret Thatcher. S**t!'

Rebekah Vardy then told him that Theresa May is currently prime minister - to which he replied sheepishly: 'Oh and Theresa May. Guys don't tell no-one that.'

Theresa May has been the UK prime minister since June 2016 while Margaret Thatcher led the country for more than ten years from 1979 until 1990.

Viewers flocked to social media to criticise his 'idiotic' question' and ask him 'what planet' he lives on.

'Omg what an idiot Amir Khan is. He doesn't know we have had women prime minsters, including the current one. Words fail me,' one wrote.

The Made In Chelsea star, 23, had started to do Kung Fu kicks and high kicks in camp, Dennis and Amir were impressed.

'She moved quite well and she was kicking really high for a small little girl, lots of energy, lots of movement and her balance was really good' Amir said.

And fans were unimpressed by his 'sexist' choice of words and accused him of treating Georgia like a 'child'.

'He really needs to widen his vocabulary. He sounds so uneducated when he speaks. It’s embarrassing.'

'Casual sexism by Amir Khan towards Toff?' another added, while a third wrote: 'Amir I thought was a nice guy until he proved me wrong with his sexist comments about Toff & I hope he's voted for all the trial now.'
