The English are too privileged, says Sharon Osbourne: X Factor judge tells American audience that her compatriots live in a bubble

She's the British star who has made her millions in America.

But it seems Sharon Osbourne has turned against her UK roots – branding English people ‘narrow’ and ‘living in a bubble’.

In a bizarre outburst on US television, The X Factor judge branded the British ‘privileged’ and out of touch.

Speaking on her TV show The Talk, Mrs Osbourne, wife of rock star Ozzy, said: ‘I don’t think you’ve met many English people. They do live in a bubble.

‘They go to these special schools, and they are just not with normal people every day.

‘I always think that people who have always had a privileged life, perfect family, perfect schooling and an A student – I always think that those people are very narrow. Because they haven’t experienced much of life.’

The multi-millionaire, who lives with her family in Los Angeles, but grew up in London, went on to say the British ‘don’t know what problems are’.

Her daughter Kelly, 33, attended a private all-girls’ school in the UK before the family relocated to America.

Last year, the family forked out £9million for a palatial eight-bedroom mansion in Hollywood’s elite Hancock Park neighbourhood.

The TV personality, 65, went on to discuss how her career has been impacted by her outspoken remarks.

It comes after Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence revealed how she was almost sacked for questioning a director on a film set.

Admitting this has also happened to her, Mrs Osbourne said: ‘People say, “oh no there is no blacklisting. It is totally illegal. We don’t do that. We don’t make grudges here” - where there is.

‘They do. And they don’t forget, and because they had power over hiring you they choose not to, because people don’t forget.

‘I think that people in power, a lot, but not all at all, if you say something they don’t like they take it personally.

‘And as Jennifer said - “you are trouble, you are a bigmouth you are out”.’
