EXCLUSIVE 'We've grown up together': Pixie Lott gushes about fiancé Oliver Cheshire's 'sense of humour' as she discusses the possibility of planning their wedding in SIX months

Her long-term boyfriend Oliver Cheshire popped the question during a romantic date at St Paul's Cathedral last November after six years of dating.

And Pixie Lott has revealed she and the model work so well as a couple because they have 'grown up together' - adding that she loves his 'sense of humour'.

Speaking exclusively to MailOnline for the launch of the Shell #makethefuture campaign, she also confessed the pair are hoping to have two weddings next year.

Discussing why they gel so well, she said: 'His sense of humour. We like the same things, the main thing is that we've grown up together.'

And touching on their wedding plans, Pixie added: 'We were saying September next year, so that still give us lots of time I think.

'I know some people plan their wedding four years in advance, in really unorganised.'

The Mama Do singer revealed her mother and sister managed to organise their weddings in just six weeks, which she finds encouraging.

'You can set a quick turnaround, it can be done. Christmas will be a good time to sit down and actually talk about,' she added.

The blonde beauty added that the couple are hoping to have two weddings - one in the countryside and a smaller in a 'hot country'.  

'We want to be in the UK for sure, because we have a big family and want everyone to be involved. Probably in the countryside somewhere.

'We haven't seen any venues yet, we need to get down to that and find one really special.

'The dream is to have a really little one afterwards in a hot country with just immediate family. That's just a crazy idea. I don't know if that's going to work out.' 

The pair got engaged last year, with Pixie exclaiming that it was the 'biggest surprise ever' as she showed off a dazzling diamond ring, adding simply in the photo's caption: 'So happy.'

The gorgeous blonde also shared a snap of the two kissing at Madison Restaurant & Bar in front of St Paul's as the sun set, with glasses of bubbly in hand, alongside the caption 'ahhhh'.  

And with things looking up in the romance side of her life, Pixie has ensured she puts plenty of time and effort into her music career too.

The singer, who recently released her new single Won't Forget You, revealed she has been keeping busy writing new material in the studio.

Talking about her new songs, she gushed: 'I get to perform new music, which is great. I've been singing some of my songs for years, so it's really fun to have fresh music to perform and get the crowd going with new songs.'  

'I'm always in the studio whenever I can, because you never really know what you could come up with at any point.

'I'm always going to be writing, I've been doing that my whole life, I've gotten used to that vibe.'

The star, who has been acting as a judge on The Voice Kids, gushed about the role as she said the child contestants were so good they made her cry.

'It was one of the best TV things I have ever done. I would definitely do it again,' she said.

'The kids are just so, so talented. I felt so lucky that we got to witness the singing sensations in the flesh. 

'They were so good they made me actually cry. Working with the kids, you get sort of attached to them and they improve every week. they' re so professional, it really inspires you, I wanted to step it up after I watched them.'

Asked if she would consider a judging role on The Voice UK for adult singers she said 'you never know' and added that Olly Murs is a 'great addition' and a 'lovely chap'.  

And bearing in mind the younger audience of The Voice Kids, Lott admitted she did feel obliged to wear 'appropriate' clothing to cater to the viewers.

'When you're singing towards a younger audience, you have to be conscious of that and sometimes if it's a crazy festival you can have more fun the costumes.

'I always think dress for your audience.'  

As well as focusing on her music, Pixie has been launching her latest music collaboration with four other global music artists, for the award-winning Shell #makethefuture campaign.

The music video, covering Imagine Dragons’ On Top of the World, including Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson – and uses custom animation to help each star tell the story of the impact of Shell-supported clean energy projects in Brazil, China, the US, Kenya, India, the UK and Germany.

This is not the first time Pixie’s worked with #makethefuture – last year, she appeared in the Best Day of My Life music video, which generated more than 390million views, making it one of the most viewed videos in 2016.

Discussing the project, Pixie said: 'It was an incredible thing to be a part of and I got to collaborate with some amazing artists from around the world, to spread the message and raise awareness in all different places.'
