Trump says Flynn did not need to lie to FBI about Russia

Democrats are claiming that President Trump has inadvertently incriminated himself for obstruction of justice by claiming that he knew Michael Flynn (bottom left) lied to the FBI about Russia before he fired him. On Saturday, Trump tweeted for the first that he knew Flynn lied to federal investigators over his contact with Russian officials and that this is why he fired him in February. It was an attempt by Trump to defend Flynn who he said had acted lawfully while serving as his National Security Advisor. 'I had to fire General Flynn because he lied to the Vice President and the FBI. He has pled guilty to those lies. It is a shame because his actions during the transition were lawful. There was nothing to hide!' he said. It has stunned Obama White House staffers responded and other critics who quickly linked it it to Trump's apparent request of former FBI Director James Comey (bototm right) to go 'easy' on Flynn the day after he was fired. If Trump knew Flynn had lied then made the request of Comey, he is guilty of obstruction of justice, say his critics.

Kimrey has been charged with obstruction of justice, concealing a death, burglary, larceny and possession of stolen property. He remains behind bars in North Carolina on a $1,010,000 bond. On Friday, hours before he was arrested, 700 local volunteers turned out to look for the girl (inset). Investigators will now turn their missing persons search into a hunt for her body. Mariah’s biological father said days ago that he did not believe Kimrey’s claims that his daughter had been abducted by a stranger. He said he had been trying to gain custody of the three-year-old and her brothers but that he could not afford a lawyer for family court.

Files of President Assad's war crimes revealed

For this innocuous room contains 800,000 pages of potential evidence to build a case that may lead to the most significant war crimes trial since Nuremberg, one that could match The Hague’s current International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and make last week’s suicide in its dock by a former Bosnian-Croat general seem like a bizarre footnote in history.
