This incredible collection of 50 unseen photographs tells the story of the real Meghan Markle - charting her life from her early school days and college years through to her first wedding.

The exclusive photos of the girl who would become Prince Harry's fiancee were shared by her childhood friend, Ninaki Priddy.

The girls were inseparable from their first days at Hollywood’s private Little Red School House, which they both joined at the age of two, before moving on together, aged 11, to the Immaculate Heart girls’ school, also in Los Angeles.

Their extraordinary bond spanned 31 years of sleepovers, a holiday in Europe as 15-year-olds and road trips across the United States.

Together, they shared their secrets and their dreams as each of them set out to make their mark upon the world.

One photo sees Meghan having her face painted at Ninaki's 9th birthday at her home in 1990, aged nine.

Meghan - known as 'Markle Sparkle' to her friends - was remembered as being a very warm and giving student and highly intelligent by fellow classmates.

Another picture shows them alongside actress Amanda Bearse on the set of US television show Married With Children in 1991. Meghan's father Tom was a lighting director on the series.

Meghan went on to take theatre and international relations as a double major at the Northwestern University School of Communication, Illinois.

By the time she graduated in 2003, she had already made her screen debut in the US soap General Hospital.

Bigger parts on TV shows such as cult crime series CSI began to trickle in.

For a time she was on the American version of Deal Or No Deal as a ‘briefcase girl’ – holding the equivalent of the British TV game show’s red boxes.

Her starring role would be Rachel Zane on the US series Suits after joining the show in 2011.

But all that is set to be eclipsed when, next May, she marries the fifth-in-line to the throne.
