'Thank you for being mine': Britney Spears blows out the candles as she gets a romantic birthday surprise and touching tribute from Sam Asghari

Britney Spears is certainly feeling the love on her birthday.

The veteran pop singer turned 36-years-old on Saturday and received quite the surprise from her handsome boyfriend Sam Asghari.

The 23-year-old personal trainer took to Instagram on Saturday to share a video of Britney's reaction to his romantic present.

Sam took the time to set up a room full of candles, rose petals in the shape of a heart, and a platter of cupcakes with candles on it.

The Womanizer singer - who stunned in a backless dress - grinned from ear to ear as Sam says: 'Happy birthday, baby.'

She then says 'thank you' before squatting down to blow out the candles and then does a dance in the dark room.

He shared the post along with a very touching tribute which read: 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY ONE AND ONLY.

'Thank you for being you, thank you for showing me the true meaning of a beautiful woman and a strong mother, and most of all thank you for being mine. I consider myself the luckiest man on this planet @britneyspears #luckiestmanalive'

Britney seemed to be having a blast on her special day as she also showed off her amazing vocal range with an Instagram clip inspired by one of her predecessors at the top of the pop mountain, Madonna.

Britney wrote Saturday, 'I was really inspired yesterday by @madonna’s post,' referencing the Material Girl's acoustic cover of her Grammy-winning track Toxic on Friday, to commemorate World AIDS Day. 

Madonna added, 'Silence=Death,' before wishing Spears a happy birthday at the end of the post.

In her post, Britney added, 'She’s right… silence = death,' adding that Madonna's 'words really stuck with [her,] because they are so true.'

The Make Me... singer then paid her own homage to Madonna with a Instagram performance of her own, belting out a deep, rich rendition of the Elvis Presley classic, Can't Help Falling in Love.

In the clip, filmed at her Thousand Oaks, California mansion, the Oops!... I Did It Again artist wore a backless black skirt as she revolved around her opulent living room, highlighted by the enormous Christmas tree that was the talk of social media earlier this week.

Britney added on Instagram that she was inspired by her special day to deliver the social media performance.

'I’ve always wanted to do a performance like this… singing in a pretty little black dress, with a simple 360, one take shot!' she wrote. 'I figured since it was my birthday, why not go for it?! So boom ... When the clock struck 12:00, I did it!!!'

The pop diva, who celebrated the day in romantic fashion with boyfriend Sam Asghari, made sure to show her appreciation toward her fan base. She wrote, 'Thank you all for the beautiful birthday wishes, and for letting me do what I love. I appreciate you more than you will ever know!!!!'
