David Beckham returns to wearing his hair in a slick man bun as he attends event in Shanghai... after former Man United player and Arsenal fan son Romeo cheered on opposing teams during hard-fought football match

Over the years, his sporting prowess has often taken a back seat to his ever-changing hairstyles, from buzz cuts to flowing manes.

And David Beckham, 42, was back to sporting one of his most notable recent hairdos - a slick man bun - when he stepped out at a promotional event to launch the Adidas Predator football boots in Shanghai on Monday.

The former Manchester United player's outing in the bustling Chinese city came after he and his son Arsenal-supporting son Romeo cheered on opposing teams in a Saturday showdown that saw the sportsman's squad walk away the victors.

At his event in China, father-of-four David remained brand faithful during his day of work, sporting a black waterproof jacket as he spoke to crowds about the footwear.

Sporting a broad grin - and his trusty slicked-back hairstyle - he dutifully posed for a string of snapshots as part of his contracted efforts to boost sales.

And the star had much to smile about, as his outing came days after he shared a snapshot of him and his son Romeo supporting opposing teams in Manchester United's showdown with host team Arsenal - with his team winning 3-1.

To mark the occasion, David took to Instagram to share a snapshot of himself and Romeo sitting side-by-side in armchairs, as he scrawled 'United' and 'Arsenal' over each person.

'Game ready... Come on United,' the star wrote, as he waited for the highly-anticipated game between the two fierce Premier League rivals to kick off.

Their support of rival teams may not be the biggest surprise, as Romeo's big brother Brooklyn famously trained with the Arsenal academy before he was released in 2015.

Money raised at the event is spent on a range of unique football-based health education programmes in areas of the world severely affected by AIDS.

Last year the event, which was held at Marylebone One, raised over £800,000 and featured a question and answers session with ex-United boss Ferguson.

World AIDS Day has been held on December 1 every year since 1988 and is dedicated to raising awareness of the deadly disease.

Grassroot Soccer reaches over one million people in 50 different countries with adolescent-friendly health and sex education services.
