'It's like 'inertia'!': Saoirse Ronan debuts catchy song about how to pronounce her name on SNL... as countrymen U2 belt out two new tunes

Saoirse Ronan may have finally educated the masses as to how to pronounce her Irish name.

The 23-year-old actress, who just starred in the critically acclaimed Lady Bird, started her Saturday Night Live monologue by explaining her unique name actually means 'freedom.'

Leslie Jones then approached to wish her a good show, however, immediately mispronounced the young starlet's name as Cersei, from Game of Thrones. Saoirse then patiently explained that the latter half of her name sounds just like 'inertia,' to which Leslie said 'I have a cousin named Inertia!'

After several more tries, Saoirse sings a complex little tune in an attempt to explain the correct sounds to use when saying her name.

She's soon joined by Kate McKinnon, and several other SNLers who recite the same song to wild applause.
