She may be small in stature but this Australia-based model and actress once admitted to being able to pick up her hulking husband.

But it didn't look like Elsa Pataky wanted to pick up her latest house guest who had made a home for itself on her outdoor wooden-framed lounge.

The 41-year-old beauty shared an Instagram story on Sunday with her 1.6 million followers of a large spotted brown python curled up in front of her.

The snake, which looked to be at least a metre in length, appears unfazed by its celebrity company and barely moves during the 10 second video.

'New guest in the house!' Elsa cleverly captioned her animal find.

This isn't the first time the Byron Bay stunner has found wildlife in her home.

On Saturday she shared a different picture of a green frog, stuck to the glass of her backdoor, pressing her own lips to the glass in a kissing face.

The good humoured mum-of-three wasn't fazed by the slippery creature, placing her hand just millimetres away from its legs.

But it's not clear whether Elsa will move this morning's extra family member or call a handler to remove the snake.

In recent days Chris Hemsworth's wife of seven years has been spending time shopping at her favourite Byron boutique store Spell & the Gypsy Collective and preparing for the holiday season.

Meanwhile her 34-year-old hubby has been promoting his new film Thor: Ragnorak. It has been described as one of the 'best Marvel adaptations ever.'

The couple and their three children have been living in Byron Bay since 2014.
