And Gemma Atkinson lamented her single status and expressed hopes for marriage and children as she showed off her incredible figure for a sizzling Women's Health cover shoot.

The 33-year-old actress, who was rumoured to be in a secret relationship with pro dancer Gorka Marquez, 27, denied she was dating anyone currently, but said she 'wishes' she was attached.

She told the magazine: 'It’s like I go through phases. I said to my mum the other day, 'It’d be nice to have a fella.' Then the day after, I was like, 'I’m so glad I’m on my own!'

'I’d much rather be on my own and be happy than be in the wrong situation with the wrong person. I would love marriage and I would love kids, but not until I’m in a place where I’m ready for them.

'I don’t want to just fit the mold because I’m running out of time. No chance!'

The stunning former Hollyoaks star also admitted her friends chastise her for 'unintentionally' friend-zoning men who message her, by writing 'hi dude or hiya mate'.

Smouldering for the camera, the star revealed her tiny waist and toned arms as she seductively leaned on a leg press, in a nod to her fitness regime.

Toughening up her look she donned fingerless gloves and accentuated her toned curves with a blue skinny belt.

Speaking on Thursday morning's Lorraine, Gemma reflected on her rigorous rehearsals with dance partner Alijaz Skorjanec and surprise weight gain since joining the show.

'I had no dance experience when I started,' she said. 'Mondays and Tuesdays are worst as you have an amazing weekend and you start again as a novice but by Wednesday you start picking up the steps.'

Referring to her penchant for sugary foods she added: 'I've put on nearly a stone. He (Alijaz) doesn't put on weight but I just look at them and put on weight.

'I like to think it's turned into muscle! I'm having the best time but its so tough. I start at 4:30am.'
