Make-up free Jennifer Lopez urges fans to support Puerto Rico in wake of hurricanes... and reveals she still hasn't heard from family on island

And Jennifer Lopez has urged fans to send their support to the people of Puerto Rico, following the destruction of Hurricane Irma and Maria.
The 48-year-old revealed in a heartfelt plea to fans that she still hasn't heard from her family living on the U.S. territory.

Authorities say the island may be without power for at least four months following Hurricane Maria, which hit the U.S. territory with 155 mph (249 kph) winds, the strongest hurricane in over 80 years.

Clad in a robe, Jennifer took to Instagram on Thursday to address fans.
'Hi I'm Jennifer Lopez, not my most glamorous look right now, I know, I'm working in Vegas right now,' she said in the video.

'But that's not really important. What's on my mind is what's going on in Puerto Rico. The devastation is beyond belief.
'Me and my cousins still haven't been able to hear from our families over there. What's foremost on my mind and many others is trying to figure out the best way to help.
'Puerto Rico has been hit by two of the most devastating hurricanes we have ever seen, Irma and Maria.

'Today Puerto Rico needs our help. I urge you to support and donate to the efforts of the first lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló.

Jennifer was born in New York City, but both of her parents hail from the Puerto Rican city of Ponce.
The star's ex-husband Marc Anthony also sent a plea to fans, asking for their help in supporting victims of the hurricanes.

'Hi this is Marc Anthony. During the past weeks my island has faced the wrath of two historic hurricanes, it was Irma and now Maria, as we all know, which have caused great devastation in Puerto Rico and in the broader Caribbean. Nonetheless, Puerto Rico became a safe haven for those in need from our neighboring islands. Says a lot about us.
'But today, Puerto Rico needs your help, and I'm calling on everyone to support and donate to the disaster relief effort of the first lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló.
Ricky Martin also took to social media to ask for the help of his fans.
'Donate whatever you can, just one dollar will make a difference...Puerto Rico is in a precarious position at the moment. We can't do it alone, we need you,' he said.
