Angelina Jolie fan who underwent a dramatic makeover to look like her idol hints she uses 'technology and make-up' amid claims she had FIFTY surgeries to transform her face

  • Teenager Sahar Tabar, from Iran, is reported to be an Angelina Jolie super fan
  • Photos show Sahar with razor-sharp cheekbones and an exaggerated pout
  • Reports suggested she has undergone 50 surgeries to achieve the unusual look
  • But Sahar reportedly hinted that it's simply down to make-up and 'technology'

An Angelina Jolie fan who was suspected of undergoing dozens of surgeries to look like her idol has hinted that she achieves the look using just 'technology and make-up'.

Sahar Tabar, 19, from Tehran, Iran, has an Instagram account filled with snaps that show her with exaggerated versions of the actress' razor-sharp cheekbones and famously plump pout.

When the pictures emerged last week, it was reported that Sahar had undergone some 50 surgeries to achieve her unusual look.

However the social media star has since appeared to comment on the speculation, hinting that the photos are simply the product of 'technology' and make-up.

According to Snopes, an Instagram account using Sahar's name shared a post addressing followers which read: 'The picture that you’re scrutinizing, even though I didn’t like it, I kept it in… I must say I only had [indeterminate number of] surgery, not 50 surgeries...

'I thought these people are probably living in the 18th century and they haven’t seen or heard of technology or makeup and they are really surprised.'

It comes as new 'before' pictures of Sahar have emerged which show just how dramatic her transformation has been.

The brunette social media star used to have large dark brown eyes, smaller lips and a less pointed nose than she has today.

Now she wears blue contact lenses, has a very pointed nose and sunken cheeks.

Last week Belgian website Sud Info, reported that Sahar had said her goal in life is to look like the Hollywood actress.

It reported that she has lost 40kg and undergone dozens of procedures in the space of just a few months to look like Angelina.

Sahar is also said to have dropped 40kg in the same time as getting her surgeries done

Fans spoke out in support of Sahar and said that she was simply making clever use of prosthetics and make-up.

Others suggested she had edited her photos as both her nose and cheekbones appear to be in different places in several pictures while her lips also appear to be different sizes.

The unusual look has sparked widespread debate between her followers, with some praising her while others said she looked more a 'zombie'.
