Katy Perry's got the eye of the tiger...on her nails that is.

The singer, who is in the middle of the North American leg of Witness: The Tour, spent the weekend in Chicago where she treated herself to a tiger's eye manicure.

The mesmerizing look, which features a shimmery stripe that curves across each nail, is inspired by the tiger's eye gemstone and is created using magnetic polish and magnets.

The process: The Swish Swish singer's manicurist applied magnetic pink nail polish over regular black polish and then used magnets to create a curved design in the center

Katy documented the technique on Instagram Stories Sunday, which begins with a regular black manicure.

Next, her nail artist is seen applying magnetic nail polish in an iridescent pink shade on top. With two small magnets, she then manipulates the pink polish into the center of the nail resulting in a thin curved line.

'They're purple and orange and then they're blue and pink and then they're green...it's all an illusion!' Katy says in the video as she shifts her finished manicure from side to side.
