Bigger than Bieber! British group Depeche Mode have already sold an incredible 1.3 million concert tickets in 2017 - more than rivals Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and pop prince Justin (and have never even topped the US charts)

British pop group Depeche Mode, that's never released a No. 1 song in the U.S., is selling more concert tickets than some of the biggest names in the business.

The band has astonishingly outdone people such as Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber after selling 1.27 million tickets through the first nine months of 2017.

They smashed a record in October after they became the first act to sell out four consecutive shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

The band, who formed in Basildon, Essex in 1980, are on their second tour through Europe and they're later headed to Latin America in 2018.

'Every time we go out and tour, we're playing to more people,' guitarist and lead songwriter Martin Gore, 56, said. 

'It's just incredible at this stage in our career,' he said, according to Bloomberg.

Depeche, who have been around 32 years, Mode and Liam Gallagher are set headline the Isle Of Wight Festival in 2018 along with The Killers and Kasabian as the music festival marks its 50th anniversary.

The epic event will take place between June 21-24, at Seaclose Park, Newport.

Depeche Mode's Gore said: 'We are looking forward to seeing you at The Isle of Wight Festival in 2018,' according to Team Rock.

In December 2016 Billboard magazine named Depeche Mode the 10th most successful dance club artist of all time  

In October 2017 it was announced Depeche Mode is one of the nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 

The band have released a total of 14 studio albums, 10 compilation albums, six live albums, eight box sets, 13 video albums, 71 music videos, and 54 singles.
