She's due to give birth to her second baby over Christmas.

So glowing Katie Piper had plenty to smile about after stepping out in London on Tuesday.

The mother-of-one, 36, cut a effortlessly stylish figure in burgundy as she made her way around the capital with a pal earlier in the day.

Dressed in a stylish midi-dress flared out at the thighs, the star threw on a pair of suede grey boots to add a swish touch to her chic look. 

Throwing a coffee coloured handbag over her shoulder, Katie could barely contain her joy as the due date for her second baby quickly approaches.  

Sporting a few stylish pieces of silver jewelery, Katie's stunning rock glistened on her ring finger following her marriage to Richard James Sutton in 2015.

The star was out promoting the Pampers Thank You Midwife Campaign which she passionately supports.

For the campaign, the star recalls giving birth to Belle, and how crucial midwives were to her.

She said: 'It’s so important to say thank you to our midwives. I had such a nurturing team of midwives looking after me with my first little girl, and their support gave me so much confidence as a mother.

'I want to say thank you to them all as no question was ever too silly or request too much.

'I am far less anxious ahead of my second child and am already working with a great midwife team in preparation for a Christmas baby.' 

It may be a sign the expectant mum could be welcoming a little boy to her growing family, but Katie has previously been tight-lipped about any gender reveal.

The philanthropist revealed to Women's Health magazine in November how she felt 'isolated' to the point she was so terrified to leave her parents' home.

Pregnant Katie, who is set to tour with her live show What's In My Head next spring, told the publication: 'When my post-traumatic stress disorder was at its height, I was so isolated I didn’t want to leave my parents’ house.

'It took my mum dropping me off at church to help me get what I needed at that time: connection with others, free from judgement. I’d found my safe space – but it will be different for everyone.

'Nine years on, I am so much more than what happened to me. I’m a mother and a businesswoman; I run a charity that supports others overcoming adversity; and, most importantly, I’m happy.
