'People were nicer to me': Claire Foy confessed blondes do have more fun when she appeared on The Tonight Show on Monday after she ditched her brunette locks for Netflix's The Crown
'I loved being blonde. The whole "blondes have more fun" is actually a thing. I mean, I didn't have fun, but people are nicer to you,' she said.
'I swear it's an actual thing. People hold the door open for you, they smile to you in general - when people are actively horrible.'
On Sunday, she enjoyed a royal reunion with her on-screen lover Matt Smith at the BAFTA screening of The Crown in New York.
The event was to celebrate the second season dropping on Netflix next Friday.
Claire cut a stylish figure in a white V-neck top tucked into a bright blue pair of high-waisted trousers while Matt smartened up his look with a blazer.

Said he: 'It is not exclusive to them. This happens to men, too.'
Earlier, discussing the recent sexual misconduct scandals, he had insisted: 'The conversation shouldn’t stop at this industry just because these are "celebrities" who we know about who are involved. It has to be broader.
'People in other industries have to have a platform to be heard as well. What happens to the cleaner or the lady who works in a clothes shop?'

For what it's worth, according to Femail, Tony himself said of Nicky's story: 'It's not true as far as I'm concerned --and I should know.'
Going by the trailer, it appears the new season will also show the Queen's iconic 1961 visit to Ghana, which four years earlier had become independent from Britain.
According to Time, she concurred with the Cabinet's wish that she go, bombing in Accra notwithstanding, by telling her prime minister: 'I am not a film star. I am the head of the Commonwealth - and I am paid to face any risks that may be involved. Nor do I say this lightly. Do not forget that I have three children.'
