Robin Thicke's current girlfriend and his ex-wife celebrated their birthdays in very different ways this week.

With 19 years between them, April Love Geary celebrated her 23rd in nothing but rose petals, while Paula Patton, 42, enjoyed a mature dinner among friends.

Photographed by the 40-year-old musician - with whom she's expecting a baby -young model April enticed her man, and her 121k followers - by posing naked on a bed with her bump on show.

In April's flower petal Instagram post, she lay on the mattress wearing a green and powder pink robe, which she left open.

The model did appear to be wearing knickers, but there were still scarlet rose petals sprinkled over the area they covered.

'SO EXTRA,' she captioned, adding three rose emoji. 

Later, lounging on the floor in the same robe, April bragged about the four bouquets of roses, which had been gifted to her by Robin.

April Love Geary was flaunting the floral gift she had received from her beau Robin Thicke on Instagram this week, first in bouquet form and then scattered in rose petal form across her pregnant and still super trim physique.

The star was rocking a Beverly Hills hotel robe which has a pretty green and pink design and an all over banana leaf print - a print and color palette synonymous with the famous rockstar hotel in LA.

'And it's not even my birthday!! (tomorrow) I have the best boyfriend in the world! Peep the sticker in the background tho,' April gushed in her caption. 

The gift sticker on the bouquets, read: 'I [heart] My Bulldog'.

On the same night, she marked the 28 week milestone of her pregnancy with a topless mirror selfie.

April - who will welcomed Robin's second child in 2018 - also teased her racy side with the motif on the back of her mobile reading: 'Kiss my tongue'.

Tuesday also happened to be the 42nd birthday of Robin's ex-wife Paula Patton, who is the mother of Robin's first child Julian, seven.

Enjoying a quiet night, Paula posted an Instagram photo of herself blowing out the candles on her birthday cake.

'Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes,' she wrote in her caption. 'You have made this day truly memorable and special.'

Robin married Paula in 2005 after dating her since the 1990s, when the couple were teenagers.

After they separated in February 2014, Robin waged a public campaign to get Paula back, including an album called Paula with a lead single entitled Get Her Back.

It was to no avail and Paula filed for divorce in October 2014, which was ultimately finalised in March the following year.

Paula and Robin recently waged a rancorous custody battle over their son Julian - one that they settled weeks before April told the world she was pregnant.

As court documents show, that arrangement included a proviso that Robin, Paula and Julian go to family therapy up to December at the earliest - as well as that Paula and Robin are forbidden from badmouthing one another to their son.

Julian's parents now have split custody, after a dispute in which Paula tried to prevent Robin's seeing Julian and on January 26 won a temporary restraining order.

Accused of striking Julian too forcefully, Robin had maintained in his own court filing that 'On a very rare occasion and only as a last resort, I will use light spanking, but it is consistent with the law - open hand on the butt,' as TMZ had reported January 12.
