But on Thursday Kobe Bryant was showing off his laudable fathering skills, as he took his family to Disneyland.
The 39-year-old former guard for the Los Angeles Lakers seemed to be having a ball with his loved ones.

The Philadelphia native, who dressed in a green windbreaker, sunglasses and blue trousers for the excursion, held his newest daughter Bianka as the group navigated the famous tourist attraction.
Bianka, who just turned two years old, was dressed in an adorable pink tutu, with matching bow, vest and Ugg boots.

Daughters Gianna Maria Onore Bryant, 11, and Natalia Diamante Bryant, 14, were also present for the day of family fun.
Gianna kept things casual in a letterman-style jacket, black trousers and a cute white hairband.
Natalia also opted for a simple outfit, which consisted of a royal blue ball cap, black v-neck shirt and classic jeans.

Meanwhile, Kobe is preparing for yet another championship run, this time for an Oscar.
Kobe's Dear Basketball short animated film recently advanced to the Academy Awards' top ten in the category, and therefore could be one of the five nominees to be in the running for the coveted award.
The retired Los Angeles Laker's short film is an animated telling of Bryant's inspiring poem and it first debuted at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival.
The five-time NBA championship winner was the screenwriter and executive producer of the animated short.
