How We Work

The core mission of the ODNI is to lead the IC in intelligence integration, forging a community that delivers the most insightful intelligence possible. ODNI’s National Centers integrate and coordinate the activities of the entire IC, or in some cases,

broader U.S. Government in the IC’s major mission areas: counterterrorism, cybersecurity, counterproliferation and counterintelligence. Learn More

NCTC leads U.S. counterterrorism efforts, fusing foreign and domestic CT information, providing terrorism analysis and sharing information with partners across the CT enterprise.

The Intelligence Community

The DNI serves as the head of the Intelligence Community. The U.S. Intelligence Community is a coalition of 17 agencies and organizations, including the ODNI, within the Executive Branch that work both independently and collaboratively to gather and analyze the intelligence necessary to conduct foreign relations and national security activities.
