But despite her fame Iggy Azalea, 27, hasn't forgotten her roots, having shared a sweet birthday tribute to her mother Tanya on Wednesday. 

Taking to her popular Instagram page, the Mo Bounce rap sensation shared several photos of her youthful-looking mother along with the caption: 'Happy 40something to the best cheek bones in the game AKA my fabulous mother!'

Iggy also appeared in one photo, cosying up to Tanya for a sultry selfie. 

Tanya has previously spoken about what life was like when Iggy, born Amethyst Amelia Kelly, was brought up in the small country town of Mullumbimby, in the Byron Shire of New South Wales.

She told The Northern Star that Iggy used to 'hypnotise the chooks and walk around with one on her head'.

'I own my HOUSE… any friend of mine would know I live in calabasas [sic],' she Tweeted.

'My house has a movie theater don't play me sweetie I don't live in an apartment.'

She later added: 'I make 150-200k a show and do a few a month.'
