'The trick to holding on': Taylor Swift pens touching poem about letting go for British Vogue... amid reignited feud with Kim Kardashian

She's not only a talented singer, but a gifted songwriter.

And Taylor Swift showed off her talent for pen and paper during her British Vogue cover story.

The 27-year-old songstress wrote a touching poem about reinventing herself and moving forward in life for the magazine.

It's safe to say that Taylor has gone through a real transformation in her life and it's apparent that she's turned a new leaf in the style department too.

Long gone are the flirty mini skirts, preppy collars and lace-up oxford shoes in favor of vampy lipstick, edgier hair, and sexier clothing.

Which is why we weren't surprised to see her grace the cover of Vogue Magazine wearing a red leather look hot off the Saint Laurent runway now helmed by the king of sexy, edgy clothing-- Anthony Vaccarello.

Saint Laurent's Spring collection was a lesson in shape and silhouette, with buoyant and billowy structures that come to a finish with a tight, high hemmed mini skirt. This is exactly what Taylor's look was, comprised of supple studded red leather for a dress that we'll be hard up to recreate on the high street.

Taylor's poem, The Trick To Holding On, kicks off with 'Let go of the ones who hurt you/ let go of the ones you outgrow/let go of the words they hurl your way/ as you're walking out the door.'

She continued in British Vogue: 'The only thing cut and dry/in this hedge-maze life/is the fact their words will cut/but your tears will dry.' 

The Grammy award winner wrote lines like: 'They don't tell you think when you are young/You can't hold on to everything.'

Taylor finished off the poem for British Vogue with: 'But tonight your hand is steady/suddenly you'll know/The trick to holding on/was all that letting go.'

The Bad Blood singer is the cover girl for the January issue of British Vogue.

The blonde beauty was photographed by Mert & Marcus while styled by the magazine's editor Edward Enninful. 

The poem comes at around the same time her feud with reality star and businesswoman Kim Kardashian was reignited.

Earlier this week, Kim uploaded a throwback picture of herself with husband Kanye West at his 2016 Famous exhibition, which has naked dummies of them and Taylor.

Since the post, Taylor fans have taken to Kim's Instagram to post an emoji of a rat.  

Meanwhile, Taylor's new album Reputation has been overtaking the charts, according to Billboard.

Her latest album has been number one on the Billboard 200 charts for three weeks straight.

USA Today reports that Reputation sold 1.216 million copies the week of the release.

The newspaper also said that it's now the best selling album of 2017.
