And Rihanna injected a truly A-list touch to her latest look as she posed up a storm in a pair of Gucci Resort socks, retailing at an eye-watering $1,300, on her Instagram page on Wednesday. 

The singer, 29, sported white sheer stockings, featuring bling-tastic crystal interlocking Gs, while working her magic in front of the camera in a smoldering new shot.

The Rude Boy hitmaker - full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty - teamed her expensive socks with a lingerie-inspired black satin slip dress featuring skinny spaghetti straps.

The Bajan beauty draped a sporty black and red jacket featuring horse motifs over her shoulders. 

Rihanna completed her bold ensemble with a pair of towering white stiletto heels and stylish mirrored shades.

The musician wore her raven locks scraped back from her face in a high ponytail and accentuated her pretty features with natural make-up.

On Tuesday, the star posted another series of smoldering shots to her social media, posing up a storm in a light blue Versace one-piece swimsuit with a matching scarf from their Spring/Summer 2018 collection wrapped around a pair of denim shorts.

The Work hitmaker grew up on Westbury New Road in the Caribbean island's capital Bridgetown, and last month officials decided to change the name of the avenue to honor the local 'superstar'.

The statement read: 'The Government of Barbados will on Independence Day, Thursday 30th November, 2017 officially change the name of Westbury New Road located in St. Michael to Rihanna Drive in honor of Barbadian superstar Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty who grew up in Westbury New Road.' 

Rihanna is fiercely proud of her Bajan heritage and has kept strong links with the island, regularly traveling back to see friends and family and attend the annual Kadooment Day street party.

The musician was discovered in Barbados back in 2003 by music producer Evan Rogers and moved to New York City in 2005 when she signed a record deal with Def Jam after auditioning for Jay-Z and L.A. Reid.

Rihanna went on to become the first-ever Barbadian to win a Grammy and still owns a $22million property on the island's exclusive One Sandy Lane resort.  

The musician was also honored for being the #1 most streamed female artist of the year by Spotify this week.

'Shout out to the big homie GOD,' she said on Instagram on Tuesday.
