And the ever-glamorous Mariah Carey, 47, took time to relax while travelling through Paris, stepping out in the French capital on Thursday, heading to the Ritz.

The We Belong Together songstress dresses impeccably for every occasion, and her day out in Paris was no exception as she slipped into a skin-tight burgundy floor-length gown.

She wouldn't be Mariah without diamonds, and she made sure to add a bit of sparkle with a number of bejeweled statement rings and classic hooped earrings.

Tying up her golden tresses in a messy bun, Mariah beamed as she greeted fans outside the Parisian hotel.

She covered her eyes with a pair of stylish big rimmed sunglasses but kept her make-up subtle, opting for a shiny pink lip.

Mariah has just finished her annual residency of her All I Want For Christmas Is You tour at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

However, the singer's stint in the Big Apple was cut short this year, after she was forced to cancel her first three shows due to illness.

Mariah is set to perform in the French capital, Manchester and London, before finishing her run with five shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
