She's showing them! Ashley Graham flaunts her enviable figure in a tiny bikini in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit snap, after revealing cruel bullies used to call her 'cottage cheese thighs'

  • The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2016 cover star Ashley posted an outtake from her 2017 shoot today
  • The magazine has not yet confirmed if she is returning for 2018, but the 30-year-old seemed to hint that she will with the Instagram shot
  • In a recent interview, she reflected on her cover and the bullies at school who taunted her for her weight
  • Hannah Ferguson, Barbara Palvin, Samantha Hoopes, Hannah Jeter, and Kate Upton have all shot images for the upcoming issue
  • The magazine also named Sailor Brinkley Cook, Raven Lyn, Alexis Ren, Chase Carter, Anne de Paula, Georgia Gibbs, and Kate Wasley as rookies

Sports Illustrated hasn't confirmed any of the major models returning for the 2018 Swimsuit Issue just yet, but Ashley Graham seems to be hinting that she'll be back with her latest Instagram shot.

Earlier today, the 30-year-old — who covered the magazine in 2016 — shared a throwback snap from her 2017 shoot. She captioned the sizzling bikini shot simply with: 'SI VIBES.'

Ashley looks stunning in the shot, in which she stands with her feet in the water and gazes off to the side while tugging on her bikini bottoms.

Ashley's too-small two-piece, covered in iridescent sequins, clearly did the trick: It's racked up nearly 200,000 likes in just four hours.

The supermodel looks tan in the shot, an outtake from the last issue from a beach in Fiji, and her brown hair is natural around her shoulders.

In an interview on CBS This Morning that ran last weekend, Ashley recalled the wonderful feeling of finding herself on the cover in 2016.

'[It proved that] anything you want can happen, and I thought, "Yes! Sports Illustrated decided to have curvy women not only in their magazine but on the cover of their magazine! Now that means that size diversity is here, and it's real, and it's not a "trend."'

Though she sees more body types being more widely accepted, she still takes issue with the term 'plus-size'

'I think that when you use the word "plus-size," you're putting all these women in a category: "You don't eat well." "You don't work out." "You could care less about your body." "You're insecure." "You have no confidence."'

Tango in tangerine like Georgia Gibbs wearing Ode & Rae

Australian model, Georgia Gibbs showed off her enviable bod in an Ode & Rae swimsuit. Sizzling in this orange bikini, it's no wonder why the blonde bombshell was named 'Rookie of the Year'.

Georgia's spot in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition has just put her at the top of the swimsuit model pyramid, so we will definitely be taking her cue on this vibrant suit. Orange is the perfect color to show off your tan and will have you giving off serious Bond girl vibes.

'And that, is none of this!' she added, pointing to her body.

That isn't to say she always felt that confidence. She also admitted that 'people called me "cottage cheese thighs"' throughout school.

'People would do the sound of a truck backing up — beeeep, beeeep — as I was sitting down,' she said, without adding the obvious: that they must be feeling pretty foolish now.

Currently, the the SI Swim crew is on Nevis Island gearing up for 2018. Earlier this week, the official account was posting images from the shoot of rookie Anne de Paula.

Anne was just the latest in a line-up of 2018 rookies to be announced on social media by both editor MJ Day and the brand's official Instagram account.

Earlier in the fall, images of Australian models, and best friends, Georgia Gibbs, 22, and Kate Wasley, 23, were uploaded.

The pair have found particular recognition because of the fact that Georgia is 'straight-sized' in the industry — a US size 2 (Australian size 6) — while Kate is considered plus-size at a US size 12 (Australian size 16).

Together, they've launched a website called Any Body Co, in which they promote their beliefs of 'self love, societal acceptance, and learning to quit the comparisons and love, any BODY'.

Kate and Georgia joined Sailor Brinkley Cook, 19, and Raven Lyn, 24, who were also announced as rookies in November.

Raven's modeled for Gap, Nike, G-Star RAW, Levi's, Sephora, and Garnier, appeared in the Snakehips music video with Zayn Malik, and recently filmed an ad for Puma XO with The Weeknd.

From Minneapolis, Minnesota, the exotic beauty — she's African American, Puerto Rican, Irish, and Native American — embraced the beach for her first SI shoot in a white thong one-piece, too — one that showed a whole lot of side-boob.

Sailor, meanwhile, is the daughter of supermodel Christie Brinkley.

'It's like she was born for this!' editor MJ Day wrote on her Instagram page, shortly after sharing the perfect 'first shot' of the day.

The shoot seems to have been a mega success, as Sailor posted several snaps and signed off by  thanking everyone involved.

'I'm so so so grateful to be officially a part of the SI family!!! I love you beyond words, MJ,' she wrote. 'THANK YOU SO MUCH'

Though Sailor earned rookie status for 2018, she did appear in the magazine once before, in the 2017 issue. She posed with her mom Christie and her half sister, Alexa Ray Joel for a unique family photoshoot.

Sailor's mom Christie appeared in the magazine eight times between 1975 and 2004. She first nabbed the cover in 1979, and went on to land the coveted spot again for the next two years. She was the first model to ever grace the cover consecutively.

Alexis Ren and Chase Carters are members of this rookie class as well. Instagram model Alexis, 20, impressed upon MJ Day, too.

'Literally, the girl was born to be in a bikini,' said editor MJ Day. 'We love. She's a keeper. Her first shot was magical... she hasn't taken a bad shot yet.'

And in August, 20-year-old Victoria's Secret PINK model Chase Carter was filmed on location in the Bahamas during her shoot.

'Words can't describe what I'm feeling right now... I AM OFFICIALLY AN SI SWIMSUIT MODEL,' she captioned footage of herself posing in a white two-piece on Instagram. 'What a dream come true and couldn't feel more blessed. Thank you to EVERYONE that's made this possible,' she added.

In addition, Hannah Ferguson, Barbara Palvin, Samantha Hoopes, Hannah Jeter, and Kate Upton have all shot images and video that appear online.
