'Everyone's losing their minds': Twitter loses its cool over Snow Bomb Sunday (but plenty of people are looking forward to an excuse to skip work tomorrow!)

  • Parts of the UK were covered in snow this morning and it caused chaos on roads
  • Motorists faced severe delays and a runway at Birmingham Airport had to close
  • But people found the funny side of it and posted videos and memes on Twitter

Britain was today covered in up to 13 inches of snow and widespread disruption caused chaos for thousands on the roads and railways.

But people were quick to see the funny side and social media was full of memes and jokes about the UK as it struggled to deal with the adverse weather conditions.

Some motorists faced severe delays on Britain's busiest roads while a runway at Birmingham Airport was forced to close.

And after waking up to find snow had fallen, Twitter users went online to voice their frustrations after transport links were delayed.

One bored motorist made a snowman while they were stuck in traffic on the M25 this morning.

And a man posted a photograph of Victoria Beckham skiing down a mountain and wrote: 'Off to brunch.'
