Their teenage son Brooklyn enjoyed an ice skating date with his girlfriend Chloe Moretz in New York's Central Park earlier this week.

And David and Victoria Beckham took inspiration from the 18-year-old on Saturday, as they treated children Romeo, Cruz and Harper to their own festive day out at the Natural History Museum's picturesque ice rink in London.

Wearing an expression of pure delight, the gleeful former footballer, 42, crouched and waited with open arms as he watched six-year-old Harper whizz towards him on the ice.

Fashion designer Victoria looked typically chic during the outing, warding off the December chill in a black sharply tailored overcoat.

Sticking to her trademark monochrome aesthetic, the former Spice Girls singer layered a simple black poloneck underneath.

The 43-year-old appeared to be feeling the chill and seemed a tad downcast as she stood on the sidelines.

David, meanwhile, tapped into his festive side as he pulled on a cosy red beanie to complement his padded jacket.

Clad in a bright red jacket with a fur hood, the adorable youngster beamed as she whizzed over to David with the help of a Penguin aid.

He later shared videos of his brood skating around on Instagram, with one clip showing an ecstatic Harper smiling at the camera.

Another video showed Cruz, 12, skating around the rink like a pro, which David captioned proudly 'Cruzie' followed by a heart emoji.

Keen to capture the family moment, he also snapped a sweet smiling selfie with Romeo, 15, Cruz and Harper with the museum in the background.

While he and Victoria chose not to strap on their skates and joins their kids on the rink, they showed their enthusiasm in spades from the sidelines.

And it's not the first time the family have indulged in some festive fun this season, as David treated his kids to a day at Winter Wonderland two weeks ago.

He was spotted enjoying the fun fair and Christmas market with Harper and Cruz, 12, at the attraction in Hyde Park - although sons Romeo and Brooklyn missed out on the fun.

Missing from the happy scene was their eldest son Brooklyn, who moved to New York in September to study photography at the Parsons School of Design.

But college in New York hasn't been an easy ride so far for the heartthrob, as Brooklyn's status has seen him unable to have a simple life concentrating on his studies while 'fangirls' are so in awe of him.

He admitted in an interview with The Cut that he sometimes has to ask his more enthusiastic fans to calm down when they run into him.

He said: 'I like people from school but there are a few fangirls in the school … Sometimes, I have to be like, ‘I’m going to be with you for like, four years, so chill.

'I mean, it’s gotten better. They understand and they respect it, but it’s just at the beginning, it’s such a shock to them, so it’s fine.'

David, who is generally considered one of the snappiest dressers in showbusiness, will be disappointed to learn he has slipped 13 places in the 2018 list.

Currently dating American actress Chloe Moretz, Brooklyn ranked number 9 in a list featuring fellow new entries Travis Scott (13) and Rocco Ritchie (21).

In 2016, David's 15-year-old middle son Romeo - a Burberry model and muse since the age of 12 - made a re-entry at No8, beating his dad by four places.
