She could be seen this year in television's Sharnkado 5: Global Swarming - a movie filmed in several countries.

But this weekend, Tara Reid was photographed having a night out in the U.S. in the company of her own family.

Modeling a midnight blue crop top and black stiletto boots, the 42-year-old was spotted outside celeb favourite Catch LA with her sister Colleen.

Tara teamed the top with a black jacket and black trousers, pulling a navy beanie over her platinum blonde hair.

Meanwhile, her sibling Colleen wore a chic orange dress with flowing split sleeves and a turtleneck.

Slinging a black Gucci purse from one shoulder, Colleen - who has a twin brother called Patrick - complemented the look with black heels.

Colleen, Patrick and Tara - the children of Donna Reid and her late husband Thomas Reid, who died last year - also have a brother called Tommy.

Tara, whose previous film work includes American Pie, has been the leading lady of all of Syfy's Sharknado movies, the latest of which first aired this August.

The actress plugged Sharknado 5: Global Swarming on the BUILD Series ahead of its release alongside her hunky co-star Ian Ziering.

'We went several different continents,' Ian explained.

'We were in several different countries - started off in Bulgaria. From there, we went to London, and then on to Rome, and Tokyo, and then Sydney, Australia.'

Tara, said it was an 'amazing' experience globetrotting for her work.

She said: 'I mean, traveling and waking up and going to these countries, like Tokyo - I mean, it's just amazing. And Bulgaria - I mean, each one had its own charm - and Rome, the food there.

'And, you know - it was freezing, also. Bulgaria was the coldest place I've ever been to in my entire life. You could see it in the film.'

Tara - who was booted from Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars last year after she and Dean May confessed they had feigned their romance - is now dating Ted Dhanik.
