Don't Be Tardy: Kim Zolciak refuses to allow estranged mother Karen back into her life as she declares 'she's tormented me for many years'

She's known for her strong belief in family.

But on Friday's episode of Don't Be Tardy, Kim Zolciak made it very clear that her mother Karen will not be welcome back into her life anytime soon.

The 39-year-old reality television star brought up the point while addressing her own role in her children's lives.

'My children, I will always be in their life,' she proclaimed, before coldly stating 'but my mom? I will not let her back into my life, let's just be clear.'

The last time Kim and her mother had an interaction was six years ago at her and husband Kroy Biermann's wedding in 2011.

During the festivities Karen and Kroy got into a lively argument when Karen was denied use of a bathroom in the couple's house.

'My mom and I have always butted heads. She's kind of tormented me for many years,' Kim confessed, before describing how things have only gotten worse.

'Marrying Kroy, you would think it would get easier but it's actually only gotten worse. It's one thing messing with Kroy and I, but when you're messing with my children, it becomes a whole different ballgame for me,' she revealed.

She was referring to several other things Karen did that Kim felt were a form of attack on her family.

Karen made headlines by shopping a tell-all book about the family, and for suing her for grandparent’s visitation of older daughters Brielle, 20, and Arianna, 16.

Even Karen's attempt at opening up lines of communication-she sent a text to Kim after son Kash was mauled by a dog-was only met with derision.

'Sorry to hear about Kash, call me sometime,' said Karen, to which Kim responded 'My mom knows where I live. You could have sent a card.'

Later in the episode she also discussed her family issues with daughter Brielle: 'You can only do so much to a human being. I took it for 34 years until I finally said it’s not worth it to me. My mom, she was good in a lot of aspects. But when my mom told my husband on the day of our wedding to ‘f*** off’ and she’s going to burn the f****** house down? No.'

Brielle then expressed that she does in fact miss her grandparents, despite what Kim says they have done.

'I still miss him sometimes. He’s still family. He was part of my life for 14 to 15 years,' said Brielle mournfully, before lamenting 'they’re going to die one day. Maybe just be cool with each other. Not be friends, I don’t like having grudges and hating these people.'

Kim did then relent somewhat, saying she would be open to Brielle having a relationship with at least her grandfather Joe.
