'It was overwhelming': Paul McCartney performs epic three-hour set in Sydney complete with Beatles classics as stars including Kylie Minogue praise singer's first show in 24 years
It's been almost 25 years since the music legend last performed in Sydney.
But celebrities and life-long fans alike united on Monday to watch Sir Paul McCartney perform an epic three-hour set at Qudos Bank Arena.
Chiefly among them was Australia's Queen of Pop Kylie Minogue, who posted a cosy Instagram photo with the 75-year-old ahead of his show.

Meanwhile co-host of The Today Show David Campbell posted his own tribute to the Beatles musician while attending the show with his wife Lisa.
'Wow Paul McCartney was unbelievable. I cried when he started Hey Jude,' he tweeted.
'I think after loving the Beatles since I was so very young to see him, it was overwhelming.

Former Today Show host Lisa Wilkinson was also spotted at the Sydney show, which coincided with her 'date night.'

Sadly, The Daily Telegraph reports this may be the 21-time Grammy Award winner's last tour Down Under given how infrequently he is able to make the long journey down to the Southern Hemsiphere.
