Schilling posted a video questioning how raising money will solve the abuse.

A Caribbean honeymoon nearly turned into a medical nightmare when a newlywed bride was almost mauled by a shark. Sarah Illig, of Charleston, South Carolina, reportedly said that she's lucky to still have her arm after a shark bit her as she was enjoying one of the attractions offered by her resort hotel. 'I felt a whoosh of water, something clamped down on my arm and I assumed my husband was playing a prank on me.' Footage of the incident captured by her husband, Evan Carroll, shows Illig recoil almost immediately in pain, scurrying away as quickly as possible from the marine animal.

While initial reports suggested the crude pipe bomb, made from a pipe, a 9-volt battery, match heads, sugar, Christmas tree lights and screws, had detonated prematurely, suspect Akayed Ullah, 27, (pictured left and center, after being injured by the attack) insisted he set off the bomb deliberately. The bombing attack at the Port Authority Bus Station subway station (right) comes just days after Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, sparking violence between Israelis and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Ullah, who was arrested and taken for questioning after the bomb only partially detonated, told police he was walking through the underground tunnel at 7.20am, between the Port Authority station towards Times Square, when he saw the Christmas-themed posters on the wall, which reminded him of ISIS' calls last month for militants and lone wolves to attack holiday markets. 'He acknowledges he purposely set it off then and there,' a senior law enforcement official told the New York Post. The Bangladeshi immigrant added that he was specifically inspired by ISIS, 'not Al-Qaeda'.

These hilarious pictures show that what goes around really does comes around - as bad parkers finally get their comeuppance. Creative victims have hit back with everything from graffiti to clingfilm - as well as the classic passive aggressive note. Other motorists returned to their vehicles to find them surrounded by shopping trolleys or carefully coated in foil. In one particularly egregious example of poor parking, a silver car can be seen perched in the middle of a helicopter landing pad - with the aircraft left hovering overhead in wait. An Audi owner was slightly less fortunate after coming back to their car and discovering that it had been attacked with pickaxes.

The festive season is in full swing, and nothing says Christmas more than posing for photos with loved ones and yuletide decorations. But as this gallery of awkward and inappropriate photographs perfectly demonstrates, the seasonal snap can go very, very wrong. A shocking video has gone viral showing a group of Trump supporters being confronted for allegedly calling a five-year-old Palestinian-American girl (right) a 'terrorist' on Sunday in Los Angeles. The girl's older cousin, Rawan, confronted the group of three about the incident. 'Looks like one,' the man, who has been identified as Johnny Turano. His daughter, Bianca, adds: 'This is America, we can say whatever we want,' interjects Turano's daughter, Bianca. 'You're exercising your freedom of speech. We're exercising our freedom of speech.' hared the video on her Twitter page where she wrote (inset): 'I was walking with my 5 year old cousin these grown a** people started calling her a "little terrorist". Yes, they're trump supporters.' So far, the video has been viewed 1.65 million times.

In its December 11 issue, the New Yorker published a short story called Cat Person by writer Kristen Roupenian (right), which documents the meeting and short-lived relationship of a 20-year-old woman with an older man. Since the piece debuted, women have been sharing it with friends and analyzing it on social media, sharing amazement with how relatable they find the main character's story. Many said it captures experiences they've had while dating, particularly when measuring their behavior in response to the 'fragile' masculinity of some men.

The disgraced former Today Show host Matt Lauer was spotted with his daughter an estranged wife on Sunday - doing some Christmas shopping and watching the young girl during her horse riding lessons.  The 59-year-old was photographed in Sag Harbor, New York, with his daughter Romy and one of her friends - all bundled up just a day after winter's first snow descended on the state. Photos show Lauer carrying out what seems like a normal Sunday afternoon - but his left hand is noticeably without a wedding ring. He is then later pictured at the stable to watch his daughter ride her horse through the afternoon. At some point his estranged wife Annette Roque, 51, eventually joins them at the stable, but exchanges no pleasantries with her disgraced husband.

Satellite images show high level of activity at the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site, in north west North Korea, indicating that dictator Kim Jong-Un is building another tunnel for missile tests. Satellite images taken over recent weeks show  'consistently high level of activity' at the Punggye-ri's West Portal indicating an expansion of the site. Increased excavation work at Punggye-ri was first reported in October by South Korea's spy agency, which said it believed Pyongyang might be readying two more tunnels at the site.

Jason Melo, 26, from New York, inset in court, is charged with forcing his girlfriend to march around naked outside in the cold last winter. The victim, his ex, said he had always been aggressive and full of rage. He was charged with assault and endangering a child after also being accused of choking and punching the woman. He denies the charges but claims he then made her walk down the street with only a white towel wrapped around her as he suspected she was sending naked pictures of herself to other men.

The weather phenomenon, which resembled an erupting volcano or a nuclear bomb, was seen above the San Ynez Mountains of western Ventura County in the Los Padres National Forest, near Santa Barbara. The billowing Pyrocumulus cloud of smoke stretched up almost 30,000 feet high. Eric Boldt, a forecaster with the National Weather Service office in Oxnard, told San Francisco Gate that the cloud was created by similar force to a thunderstorm - and its strong winds could be responsible for helping spread the Thomas Wildfire.

Mike and Laura Bergeron of California have been dressing up in all manner of weird and wonderful outfits for their Christmas cards for more than a decade. The latest photo sees the family of four as 'Gingers in Paradise' in red wigs and fake sunburns, standing on the beach. Mike shared the new card along with a run-down of all the other family cards over the years, including one using a bit of Photoshop assistance to transform them into the couple from Grant Wood's famous American Gothic painting.

The Brushwood Estate, which has over a century of history, was named by the writer Stewart Edward White (inset) after he bought the 6.2-acre property with 400 feet of lake access in the 1920s. Now on sale for $45 million, the California estate - which has a six-bedroom main home (left), five bathrooms, a private dock, hot tub and a two-bedroom guesthouse - has been updated to include modern amenities (top and bottom right). White, whose most famous work is Disney-adapted The Saga of Andy Burnett, named his home after fellow author Rudyard Kipling's story 'The Brushwood Boy' because he thought the tale of adventure reflected the estate's nature. The current owner is philanthropist Tamara Fritz. She has owned the home since 1996 and is known for having hosted a series of fashion shows featuring the work of Dominican designer Oscar de la Renta.

A new online gallery has revealed some of the world's most hilarious and unfortunate spelling mistakes. In many cases a spelling slip-up is enough to make you blush with one store warning that shoplifters will be 'prostituted' while a toilet sign advises that ladies 'flash' before leaving. Many of the spelling and grammar mishaps are also injected with irony, including a news bulletin claiming 'school is two easy'.

Steph Klassen (pictured), from Manitoba, Canada, has been coping with a bout of severe acne since September. She has previously struggled with the condition, but her doctors currently have no idea what caused it to return. The mother of two, who at 29 years old has also dealt with anxiety, depression, and type one diabetes, has been posting regular updates along with make-up free photos, showing how the acne has left her with painful bumps, swelling, zits and scarring. Steph told the DailyMail.com her current breakout came 'out of nowhere' at the end of September, and that within two weeks it had escalated to a severe stage.

An elementary school custodian with the voice of an angel is bringing holiday cheer to adults and children on campus. Wilbert Knight, who has been working for the Steubenville, Ohio school system for 22 years, says its its one of the best parts of his job. 'I love the kids. I love seeing them smile and seeing them happy,' Knight told ABC News on Monday.

He created a trap using cardboard box, a wooden structure and 12-guage shotgun blanks (inset). A hilarious online gallery has seen people share their worst kitchen fails that are enough to turn your stomach. Many photos see hapless home-cooks struggle to operate basic equipment with one snap capturing the aftermath of using a blender without a lid while another cooking session ends in tears when the oven collapses. In desperation some home-cooks have turned to unconventional methods to stifle their hunger including using a tennis racket as a colander and a kettle as a means of cooking hot dogs.

Events planner Mike Adkins, 32, from Las Vegas, Nevada, has opened up about what it is like to date one of the world's biggest porn stars. He was introduced to Allie Haze, 30, (pictured left and with Mike, right), four years ago through a mutual friend. Google has globally launched three new photo editing apps as part of its new 'appsperimental' approach. The apps include Storyboard (pictured top right), a tool to transform your videos into a cartoon strip, Selfissimo! (pictured left), an automated selfie photographer and Scrubbies (pictured bottom right), a video-looping app. Storyboard is available on Android, Selfissimo! is available on Android and iOS and Scrubbies is available on iOS.

Antonella Barbieri, 39, (left) reportedly killed her two children before attempting to take her own life in Suzarra, Lombardia. The wife of former Italian rugby international Andrea Benatti, 38, (left and inset in his Italy kit) allegedly smothered daughter Kim (top right) in the family home before taking son Lorenzo Zeus (bottom right) for a drive and stabbing him to death with a kitchen knife before using the knife on herself. A passer-by found the car and, seeing blood and Barbieri with the knife stuck in her stomach, and called emergency services. She is currently in serious condition in hospital and is expected to be charged once she is stable.

Photographer Svetlana Kuzina (pictured top right) has recorded extraordinary haunting 'alien like' sounds while walking on the frozen surface of a Siberian lake, which she says are reminiscent of whales 'singing'. She said she was frightened the first time she heard the sounds in the middle of the night while photographing shooting stars at Lake Ak-Kem (bottom right). The noise was 'soft, low, thick, long, taut, howling, changing between quiet and very loud'. Experts say the sounds are from the ice expanding and contracting.

NEW A shocking video has emerged showing a couple having sex in broad daylight at one of Australia's popular beaches (pictured). A woman was filmed wearing a black bikini while lying on top of a man as they get kinky on the wide open white sandy shore at Henley Beach in Adelaide. The video which was shared online show the couple surrounded by bottles and bags as they are caught in the act during broad daylight.

Sales assistant Kimberly Ortiz, 28, from Las Vegas, Nevada, is stopped on the street by stunned strangers who mistaken her for her idol, Mariah Carey. The mother-of-one, who is also a part time singer, said she is delighted with the comparison and even 'tailors her look' so she resembles the star. A Welshman who flew to the Dominican Republic to live with his internet girlfriend is now stranded in the country after she rejected him because he 'doesn't have any money'. Struggling mum-of-four Wilfa Soto Peguero claimed she agreed to get to know balding Brit Glyn Thomas Bailey in person after he offered to help her raise her children. But she claimed when she went to pick up at the Caribbean airport, he had no return ticket and no money. He became a celebrity on the island when she made a video and posted it to social media, begging someone to take Mr Bailey off her hands because she couldn't afford to feed him.

Graphic footage shows a cowboy being knocked off his horse and repeatedly speared in front of panicking spectators at an arena in Ticul, Mexico, on Wednesday. The rampaging beast flung him across the dirt like a rag doll and then viciously skewered a fallen horse after a team of riders failed to snare it with their lassos. The wounded man somehow managed to get up and stagger away from the savage attack - which has been viewed more than 100,000 times online after it was filmed by a fan in the arena.
