The nominations for the 75th Golden Globe Awards have been announced, with Netflix series The Crown being among the British high-fliers at the coveted ceremony.
The period drama - which chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth II from the 1940s to more modern times - has scooped three nominations, while Londoner Daniel Kaluuya also received a nod for his role in Get Out.
Christopher Nolan, the genius behind acclaimed war drama Dunkirk, is up for Best Director, while the esteemed movie is also in the running for Best Drama Motion Picture, as well as Best Original Score.

Nolan will go head-to-head with fellow Brit Ridley Scott in the Director category, as the 80-year-old filmmaker has been given a nod for All the Money in the World.
British-Irish playwright Martin McDonagh will also be pitted against the directing heavyweights for his turn at the helm of crime drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water lead the pack with seven nominations, with leading lady Sally Hawkins earning a slot in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama.
Londoner: Daniel Kaluuya also received a nod for Get Out, though the decision to place the movie - which was listed as a horror upon its release - in the comedy category has been met with some controversy

The awards have offered The Crown the chance to repeat history, after the Netflix series scooped the Best TV Series - Drama gong at the 2017 ceremony.
The show will once again go up against Game of Thrones, Stranger Things and This Is Us as well as new contender The Handmaid's Tale.

While fans of Daniel Kaluuya have rejoiced at the actor being nominated for his role in the thriller, the positioning of his nomination has been met with some controversy after being listed in the Comedy and Musical movie category, despite it being categorised as a horror when it was first released.
Speaking out about the decision last month, actor-turned-director Jordan Peele, who also wrote the movie, said on Twitter: ''Get Out’ is a documentary,' referencing the film's themes of racism and its poignancy in 2017.
He also told CBS: 'They’re both about truth. If you are not accessing something that feels true, you’re not doing it right… you have to be very tuned in to the audience and their emotion.'

Among the contenders in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category are veteran actresses Judi Dench, for Victoria & Abdul, and Helen Mirren for The Leisure Seeker.
Jude Law has been shortlisted in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for his leading role in The Young Pope, in which he plays the first American pope in history, Pius XIII aka Lenny Belardo.
He will go up against the likes of Scottish star Ewan McGregor - who is nominated for Fargo - as well as long-time American actor Robert De Niro.

David Thewliss - of Harry Potter and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas fame - has been nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for his role as V. M. Varga in Fargo.
Alfred Molina is nominated in the same category for Feud: Bette and Joan, in which he portrays legendary movie director Robert Aldrich.
