Their marriage has been on the rocks since the footballer's wild night out in September - which saw him arrested for drink driving.

But Coleen Rooney cast her recent marriage woes aside on Saturday as she took her son Kai, seven, to Winter Wonderland - without husband Wayne, but with her wedding ring firmly on her finger.

The 31-year-old flashed the bling for all to see as she treated her eldest to some pic 'n' mix sweets, before they enjoyed a number of rides together at the famous attraction in Hyde Park.

Wayne was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work for driving while over the limit, which he carried out in the UK, while Coleen fled to Barbados with their three sons for half term.

However Coleen, who is currently pregnant with their fourth child, confirmed she was working on her relationship with the footballer with a lengthy statement posted to her Facebook page last month.

Reportedly only giving Wayne minutes' notice before releasing the open letter, she wrote: 'Before all the stories begin, Yes, I have put my wedding ring on....... A lot of people will be saying "you don't have to explain yourself, don't feel like you have to do this" etc, I know I don't, but I am and I want to.

She continued: 'A few people are probably thinking am stupid for staying in my marriage. I am not stupid, I know my own mind and it's something I want to try and work on.

Referencing the night of Wayne's arrest for drink driving, Coleen appeared to blame the influence of alcohol for his behaviour.

'I would never trust ANYONE who has had a lot of alcohol, it changes some people drastically.

Coleen also hit back at fan speculation she was staying with Wayne for his money, insisting that love and family is what is keeping them together.

I know I would be fine on my own, with just me and my children, but I don't want to live like that, I want to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do.'

It has since been reported the pair are planning to renew their wedding vows in Barbados, as Coleen knows 'deep down' she has forgiven him.

A source told The Sun: 'To say it’s been a rough ride for both of them in recent months is an understatement. But we’ve been told they plan to renew their wedding vows next summer – maybe in Barbados.

'We were astonished as Coleen is no fool and a pretty tough cookie. He is just relieved to have another chance.' MailOnline contacted her representatives at the time.
