Get red hot like Joan in her Pamella Roland suit

Red has always been a head turning color. All it's hues - bugundies, rosy reds and deep merlot dyes - have all made waves, but none so much as cherry red. Unashamed, out-there, in-yer-face scarlet is really where it's at, and it all started on the catwalk.

For AW17 we saw the hue head-to-toe at MaxMara, on cutesy love heart dresses at Chloe and high-impact thigh high boots at Fendi. Whatever you bought, it better have been in red this year, or else.

And it seems the trend ain't going nowhere for next year. Here, Joan Smalls rocked a full look from Pamella Roland's Pre-Fall '18 collection, which included a chic, fitted trousers suit, sheer corset top and barely-there sandals, which Joan teamed with waist-length braids and a statement necklace.

Why not kill two trends with one look and invest in Zara's take on the jacket? The high street hero is offering up an amazing velvet blazer for under £100 which you can pair with the matching trousers or even over a mini LBD for party season. Shop our edit of the best bright red blazers below...
