Ivanka and Jared brave the snow flurries as they wrap up for their Saturday morning jog together - while Melania gets into the festive spirit with a picture from the White House

The snow flurries didn't dissuade Ivanka Trump as she and husband, Jared Kushner, embarked on their weekly jog on Saturday.

The duo wore similar black ensembles as they were trailed by Secret Service in Washington DC on the first day of snowfall.

The First Daughter sported a black zip-up jacket matched with coal-colored leggings as she closed the gate to their home.

Ivanka wore her blonde locks in a tight ponytail held back with a black headband. The 36-year-old wore black sneakers as well.

Her husband, also 36, wore a black jacket with grey lining and a matching cap.

Trump's senior advisor wore onyx-colored pants and grey tennis shoes to compliment his look.

Winter Storm Benji has hit the East Coast with some areas hit with up to six inches of snow. 

AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Bernie Rayno said: 'While a three to six-inch snowfall is most likely in New England, that sort of snowfall may extend all the way down to parts of New Jersey, Delaware, southern Maryland and central and southeastern Virginia.

'Temperatures will be a little lower in New England, when compared to Virginia, but there may be just as much moisture available on a straight line from eastern Maine to southeastern Virginia.'
