Jose Canseco is under a lot of criticism after a Twitter rant on Tuesday claiming women only report sexual misconduct allegations against 'ugly men.'
The former Oakland Athletic player, 53, began his tirade calling out a supposed double standard in who makes sexual assault allegations.
'What is going on with all these politicians molesting women I've been molested by several women and never complained,' Canseco shared in a tweet.
He added: 'Well I mean I've been beaten by women taken advantage of by women and molested by women I never complain but it was kind of a turn-on.'
At this point, the retired outfielder asserts that it has to be because of his comparative looks to the folks accused of sexual assault.

He added: 'Well I mean I've been beaten by women taken advantage of by women and molested by women I never complain but it was kind of a turn-on'
'I see the difference I guess cuz I was a good-looking guy and these politicians look like a bag of boogers,' he said.
And while numerous Twitter user asked Canseco - who famously whistle blew about his and the MLB's use performing enhancement drugs in his 2005 book Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big - to stop, he just continued with more outlandish statements.

At one point during his rant, he tweeted directly at a Sara Gonzales, first saying 'hi Sarah' when she asked him to stop.

And Twitter was in a fury over the thread of tweets, completely baffled by whatever intentions he had behind the post.

Several made reference to when the player was hit in the head by a baseball while trying to catch it in 1993.
'Ok. That baseball off the head and the steroids did more damage than we thought,' one user said.

An additional user pointed out Canseco's history with wild tweets.

And to his tweet about 'inbred politicians,' a user said 'Melania.'
The Athletic's, whom Canseco played for 1985-1992 and in 1997, quickly distanced themselves from the player on Twitter

And to his tweet about 'inbred politicians,' a user said 'Melania'
'We were disappointed to learn of Mr. Canseco's statements,' his former team said in a statement

Canseco was arrested in 1997 for hitting his wife, Jessica, and was sentenced to one year probation in 1998 after pleading no contest.
'Mr. Canseco is not an employee of the Athletics and his statements do not reflect the values of our organization or those of our most trusted partners.'
Additionally, NBC Sports California also cut ties with Canseco, who was slated to have a contract for the 2018 year.
'Jose Canseco is no longer an employee with NBC Sports California,' the networks said in a news release, according to ESPN.
'His agreement with us ended after the 2017 season. We certainly don't agree with his comments, which do not reflect the values of our network or our team partner.'
Canseco was arrested in 1997 for hitting his wife, Jessica, and was sentenced to one year probation in 1998 after pleading no contest.
He famously tweeted in 2013 that he was being investigated for rape and denied the allegations, even going so far as to share defamatory information about the woman.
