Dev Patel and girlfriend Tilda Cobham-Hervey put on affectionate display while holiday shopping in Los Angeles

They are the product of a work romance come to life.

And on Monday, Dev Patel enjoyed a low-key day of shopping with girlfriend Tilda Cobham-Hervey in LA.

The two met while filming the based-on-a-true-story drama, Hotel Mumbai.

Dev, 27, was casual in a white T-shirt, grey jeans and sneakers.  

Tilda, 22, wore a bright, sleeveless red dress adorned with colorful stripes. 

The Australian actress added a pair of gray socks and black dress shoes.

Dev and Tilda first met on the set of their new film, Hotel Mumbai, set for release next year. 

Prior to their romance, Dev was in a relationship with Freida Pinto from 2007 until 2014.

Freida is currently single. 

'I think I love myself. I'm having like this crazy love affair with myself,' she began, in an interview with People

'If you don't know how to learn to love yourself you will find being single extremely hard. When you do that, I don't think you feel lonely.'

As for Dev, the BAFTA actor will next appear in the film, The Wedding Guest. 

According to Variety, the movie will be filmed in India, beginning early next year. 

It is not yet known what role he will play.
