The snubs! Veep, Outlander, The Leftovers, and Wonder Woman were left OFF the list of Golden Globe nominations

The 75th annual Golden Globe nominations were announced on Monday morning with The Shape Of Water and Big Little Lies picking up several nods.

But there were also a lot of favorites left off the list by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Among them were Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Veep, the drama Outlander, Justin Theroux's The Leftovers, Judd Apatow's The Big Sick, The Lego Batman Movie, Beauty & The Beast, and Wonder Woman.

No love here: Veep starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus was not nominated for a Golden Globe this year

It was a shock that Veep was left off the list, as Julia Louis-Dreyfus' show has received so much Emmy love. The 56-year-old Seinfeld vet has been battling cancer.

Wonder Woman was one of the biggest hit films of 2017. But there were no nods for star Gal Gadot or director Patty Jenkins.

Fans took to Twitter saying it was outrageous that 'five white men't got director nods and not Patty. The men who are in the Best Director category are: Guillermo del Toro for The Shape of Water, Martin McDonagh for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Christopher Nolan for Dunkirk, Ridley Scott for All The Money in the World and Steven Spielberg for The Post.

There was also outrage that Greta Gerwig did not get noticed for her directorial efforts on Lady Bird.

Outlander did not get in the Best Drama category. The show has developed a solid fan base but still it was passed over.

Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things was not recognized even though her performance on the series has stood out all year.

And Milo Ventimiglia got no GG love for his role as Jack Pearson on This Is Us even though he was nominated for an Emmy this year.

Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys' The Americans did not land on the list.

Jake Gyllenhaal was not recognized for his film Stronger; in the drama he plays Jeff Bauman, a man who lost both legs during the Boston Marathon bombing.

His sister Maggie, however, was given a nod for her work with James Franco on The Deuce.

The Big Sick was a summer movie produced by Apatow.

It was snubbed in all major categories, including best comedy or musical, screenplay and comedy actor (Kumail Nanjiani, who co-wrote the semi-autobiographical love story with wife Emily V. Gordon).

The Lego Batman Movie was a spinoff of 2014's The Lego Movie.

The first one got a nod, but not this one.

Get Out was submitted as a comedy, which seemed like a mistake.

Peele's thriller did not get best screenplay or director but did get noticed for the star, Daniel Kaluuya.

Nope: Matt Damon's film Downsizing was not recognized; the film is about shrinking humans to five inches tall to deal with overpopulation. Also in the picture is SNL vet Kristen Wiig

Tracee Ellis Ross was ignored for her work on blackish.

And Wind River with Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen was thought to get a nod but did not.

Beauty And The Beast had high production values as an impressive turn from Harry Potter vet Emma Watson, but it was not given a nomination.

War For The Planet Of The Apes, Murder On The Orient Express and Despicable Me 3 were also passed over.

The GG nominations were announced on Monday morning by Sharon Stone, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Bell and Alfre Woodard.

The Golden Globes will be broadcast by NBC on Sunday, January 7 and hosted by Seth Meyers.

Copy Kristen in a burgundy pencil dress by Roland Mouret

Kristen Bell and Sharon Stone co-ordinated with each other perfectly when they both attended the Golden Globe Awards nominations event today in burgundy dresses.

We love the 3D floral embellishment on Sharon's, but how blooming beautiful is the embroidery on Kristen's Roland Mouret number? The contrast between the rich burgundy hue and bold blue flower is very striking, plus the pencil fit and halterneck shape is super flattering.

Click (right) to buy it now. It's not too late to invest in a party season dress, or too early to prepare for awards season for that matter!
