Kate stars alongside Idris in the epic drama, which was released in October, in which her character, photojournalist Alex and Idris' character, brain surgeon Ben are left abandoned in the midst of perilous weather.
Alex, who photographs images of Neo-Nazis for a publication is getting married the following day, while Ben is required to operate on a dying 10-year-old, yet they are stuck at Salt Lake City Airport with all flights cancelled.
With an impending storm looming, the pair decide to persuade a charter pilot to fly them across the mountain range yet the plane inevitably crashes and they are left stranded, relying on one another for comfort and survival.
In the midst of this comfort, the couple naturally form an intense bond which culminated in their intimacy - with the scenes undoubtedly sending temperatures soaring for fans of the Hollywood heavyweight duo.
