Yet Tamara Ecclestone's close relationship with daughter Sophia, three, left husband Jay Rutland feeling left out during Tuesday's episode of Tamara's World - particularly as he was kicked out of the pair's double bed.

The businessman, 36, admitted that sometimes watching the two ladies in his life bond without him was like a 'knife in the heart', and confessed he wanted to have another child to broaden their family circle.

As Jay spotted that Sophia was wearing a locket with a picture of herself and Tamara, 33, inside, but no images of Jay, the art gallery owner questioned why he had been left out.

'No picture of me which I'm not surprised at,' she lamented. 'Typical Tamara she loves that.'

As Tamara reasoned: 'To me it seemed natural to put a picture of me in there as it's engraved with her name and my name', Jay pondered: 'Why aren't I in it?'

In a piece to camera, the heiress mused: 'He is in the triangle [family of three]... he's not in the locket.'

Jay then confessed to the camera: 'Tamara takes great pleasure in teasing me but part of it is like a knife in the heart. I know what she's doing but it is tough sometimes.'

The daughter of billionaire F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone then admitted: 'Jay's relationship with Fifi is so different to mine. He's like the fun dad, I have a different relationship and he's good with that... but maybe the locket brought out another side to that that I wasn't aware of.'

Tamara and Jay were also at loggerheads during the episode as they argued over whether to have more children.

Whilst Jay was keen to expand their family, the socialite revealed she didn't want to as she questioned: 'I just don't understand why you can't be happy with the triangle. Shall we pinky promise to stay a triangle?'

Later in the show Jay enjoyed a boys' nights in with his friends as he discussed the fact he wanted more children.

'Having friends around me with a lot of kids makes me want to have more kids,' he admitted. 'I'd like to go again, I'd go again now but she wants to wait.'

Speaking about Sophia's cheeky antics, he revealed to his friends: 'She terrorises me, my daughter. She looks at me as if to say, 'I don't love my daddy and it kills me.'"

Although a cot bed had been put in the room by hotel staff with Sophia in mind, Tamara reasoned that Jay should sleep in the cot and allow herself and their daughter to share the double.

She reasoned: 'I know lots of people think co-sleeping is really dangerous but its been a positive experience.

'I slept in my parents bed until I was nine. I slept on my dad's side and my sister [Petra] on my mum's. Even when we travelled we'd all share our bed.

'One day she'll ask to have her own bedroom like I did... hopefully not for a few more years!'
