Mandy Moore shows off prosthetic baby bump in denim overalls as she shoots This Is Us with screen husband Milo Ventimiglia in LA

She plays a woman pregnant with triplets in This Is Us, which skips back and forth between four decades of her fictional family’s life.

And Mandy Moore showed off her prosthetic baby bump as she got to work on the set of the hit NBC show alongside her co-star Milo Ventimiglia in Los Angeles on Monday.

The actress, 33 - who portrays Rebecca Pearson in the family drama -  looked happy and relaxed as she shot scenes for the show, which will resume on January 2 after a winter hiatus.

During the late night shoot, the star displayed a huge prosthetic baby bump in denim overalls and a striped pink t-shirt.

A single butterfly could be seen on the front pocket of the overalls.

The actress had her hair in a low side ponytail with a scarf wrapped around her head and large pearl earrings dangling from her lobes, suggesting the scene was set in the 1980s.

Ventimiglia, 40 - who portrays Mandy's screen husband Jack - was also on set, wearing a cut-off sweatshirt and a pair of jeans.

Earlier in the day, the actor was spotted wearing a red flannel shirt, a pair of dark denim jeans, and brown boots.

It looked like the actor was taking lunch back to his trailer.

Mandy previously admitted she has got used to portraying a pregnant woman during her time on This Is Us, with the show skipping between 1979 and present day.

Speaking to People earlier this year, she said: 'It's all the shades of pregnancy - from it being fun to being miserable. Yeah, it was a lot of fun.

'I think I had four different sets of boobs. There was like progression of like, this size boob, this size boob and then, like, gigantic. I was like, "This is insanity".

'And different pregnancy pads, yes. I was most interested in the different-sized cutlets that I had to put on.'

Mandy got engaged in real life to musician boyfriend Taylor Goldsmith in September.

The couple started dating in August 2016, after the actress split from husband Ryan Adams in January 2015.

Mandy and singer-songwriter Ryan, 43, were married for almost six years, having tied the knot in February 2009 in Savannah, Georgia.

While on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, Ventimiglia was asked if he approved of the union.

'Taylor is the kindest soul, and Mandy is the most beautiful of human beings,' he said.

'So the two of them coming together, it’s like it’s right, and it’s good - we’re all very happy for them.'
