  • Kirsty was a famous model in the '90s, and she made a full return to the fashion world in 2014, when her then-10-year-old daughter was modeling for Zara

With their impossibly long blonde hair, striking bone structure, and long limbs, Kirsty Hume and her lookalike daughter Violet are on their way to becoming the next Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber.

Like Cindy, Kirsty, 42, ruled the fashion world in the '90s with countless campaigns and runway appearances. After leaving the modeling industry for more than a decade, the mother-of-one has returned — with her 13-year-old daughter in tow.

Kirsty and Violet posed together for a stunning mother-daughter spread featured in the January 2018 issue of Vogue magazine, and its clear that the teen has inherited her Scottish mom's ethereal good looks.

She got it from her mama! Kirsty Hume, 42, and her nearly identical daughter Violet, 13, struck a pose for a stunning new spread featured in the January 2018 issue of Vogue

One outdoor shot taken by photographer Zoë Ghertner sees Violet hugging her mother from behind with her eyes closed, while Kirsty stares off into the distance.

Both of them are wearing floral dresses, and their signature blonde hair flows down their backs in natural waves.

Another photo sees them turned way from each other and hold their hands behind their backs. While Kirsty is looking at the camera, Violet is taking in the scenic view in front of her.

Two decades ago, Kirsty was discovered by famed photographer Patrick Demarchelier and quickly rose to fame, walking for high-end labels such as Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, and Chanel.

Kirsty went on to book a high-profile beauty campaign with Chanel and work as a Victoria's Secret Angel, but the constant stream of modeling jobs made her realize that city life wasn't for her.

She famously stated that the most exciting thing about modeling was 'the money,' and looking back at her time in the city, Kirsty admitted in the latest issue of Vogue: 'I am not an urban creature.'

The model and her former husband, Donovan Leitch, spent some time in Woodstock, New York, before they moved  to Los Angeles in 2001.

Violet was born three years later, but Kirsty longed to be even closer to nature than she was in the sprawling city.

Two and a half years ago, Kirsty and her daughter moved to Topanga Canyon, where she can enjoy long hikes in the State Park located right near her home.

In Topanga, Kirsty has been able to expand upon her interest in wellness, and in June she graduated from The Gaia School of Healing, after spending nearly a year studying herbal medicine.

Kirsty took to Instagram over the summer to share a photo of her two all-natural body elixirs she mixes out of her home.

Essence of the Sun contains a blend of ginger and citrine and is meant to energize the body, while Essence of the Moon is all about releasing tension with its mix of linden, jasmine, and violet.

The products already have a high-profile following, as model Amber Valleta commented: 'So happy and proud of you! I want some!'

Kirsty celebrated her return to the fashion world in 2014 when Violet was 10 years old and modeling for Zara. Looking back at her illustrious career, she admitted she didn't really understand why Victoria's Secret hired her.

'I'm not exactly a classic lingerie girl, I didn't think,' she told Vogue.com at the time. 'I'm quite a quiet person and not really someone who relishes being dressed up and put on a stage...

'I became a face of Chanel beauty when I was 19 and it feels like another life when I think about it now, but in many ways it felt like another life even then! "Where am I?! What am I doing?!" she added.

'I never really made a decision to leave fashion, but this definitely feels like a conscious return.'

'I'm ready to embrace my life, in several different ways, and stepping back into modelling and fashion is a big part of that. I'm back!'

Three years later, Kirsty's return to modeling is in full swing, and in September she strut down the runway in a tie-dyed blue dress at the Michael Kors show during New York Fashion Week.

And if the photos of Violet on Kirsty's Instagram page are any indication, her daughter's natural beauty will undoubtedly allow her to follow in her mother's modeling footsteps if she so desires.

Earlier this year, in April, Kirsty celebrated her daughter's 13th birthday by sharing a stunning photo of her only child posed in front of a waterfall.

'I see her older since becoming a teenager a couple of weeks ago. I see her as the young woman she is quickly becoming,' she wrote. 'I honor this transitional time in her life.'
