They are two Hollywood power couples who have been going from strength to strength for decades.

And Thursday night proved to be a double date night, as Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg both stepped out with their other halves to attend the New York premiere of their latest release The Post.

Stepping out onto the red carpet, Tom, 61, and his wife, Rita Wilson, 61, smiled widely as they wrapped their arms around each other.

Rita oozed sophistication in a pretty floral print dress with a low-cut neckline, belted waist, and matching bold red high heels.

The It's Complicated actress swept her sun-kissed tresses back into a low bun with a few loose wavy tendrils framing her flawlessly made-up complexion.

She accessorized the chic look with an array of jewelry, including a delicate silver necklace, white bracelet, and deep red coat of nail polish.

Tom, meanwhile, cut a dapper figure in his sharp two-piece suit that teamed together smart trousers, with a fitted blazer and checkered tie.

Tom and Rita married in 1988 and together they have sons Chester, 27, and Truman, 21.

The actor also has son Colin, 40, and daughter Elizabeth, 35, from his first marriage to Samantha Lewes.

His partner Kate opted for a glamorous all-black ensemble that teamed together a shift dress, with cut-out detailing at the sleeves, and lace tights.

She and Spielberg married in 1991 after meeting while working on the action film Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom, which starred Kate and was directed by Steven.

Together they raised seven children, including two - Jessica Capshaw, 41, and Max Spielberg, 32 - from previous relationships and two - Theo Spielberg, 29, and Mikaela Spielberg, 21 - brought into the family via adoption.

Their three biological children together are Sasha Spielberg, 27, Sawyer Spielberg, 25, and Destry, 21.
